How to store walnuts
Walnut kernels can be stored in airtight containers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This gives a shelf life of three months, provided the walnuts in shell. When the shell has been removed, you can store the walnuts in a refrigerator for no more than six months. You can freeze the nuts in an airtight container and use them within a year.
